From our Featured Series, see freight action of CSX, Norfolk Southern, Conrail, & Indiana & Ohio, at Winton Place, a rail hot spot area of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1998.  At this location just west of Clifton Ave. & the river, trains run on CSX’s Louisville Div.-Cinci Terminal Sub.- ex-B&O (tracks 1 & 2- farthest track north and the middle track), & NS’s Ft. Wayne Div.-New Castle District- ex-PRR/PC/N&W (track south near the camera).  All trains use each other’s tracks for directional running to help ease congestion, & all trains that head south go into Cinci.  CSX trains either head north through Hamilton, OH, or NE to Columbus, while NS trains head north to Hamilton, OH, or NE into Dayton or towards Portsmouth, OH.  The I&O heads east.
