1970's Videoton HA25/12K 10" Woofer 4 Ohm
Great single speaker by Videoton (VTTV), manufactured in Hungary during the 1970's. This unit is a pull from a Videoton speaker model called "Brilliant", #252E. This was a great sounding two way speaker model that had approx 8" angled legs that gave it a distinctive look. I had a set for almost ten years I intended to restore and between the pair had one good tweeter and one good woofer (this listing). Bottom line is I never could find a replacement woofer. Tweeter replacement was much easier. So here it is - hopefully someone can put it to use. I recently replaced the foam surround and cone is at proper position, no rub or chatter. Gasket is original, detached currently because it has an odd mounting where the gasket seems to be installed after mounting - original mounting screws were very narrow head - not included in listing. Stiff paper cone with a a curve from the motor upward until it flattens out toward the edge. The specs claim wide frequency range of 20-7,000hz in specs, it does sound much like a full range in my limited testing. The speaker model it was in utilized a second order crossover on both woofer and tweeter- cap and coil in reverse values for each driver.
This unit is in good used condition - sound output as expected and no known defects. Foam replacement went well and cone is properly centered with no rub and chatter. Please see all pictures for full condition details.
