You're looking at a very special item.
This is an original item from the 1940s or 50s. This TMY  No. 3 was made for toy motor boats that the same company put out as as well as other battery operated motor boats such as those offered by ITO and K&O. This motor is big and a good improvement for the smaller one you have. Or maybe you want to a put a nice boxed one with that super sweet boxed collectible ITO or TMY motorboat in your collection...
I think this one could have been used in Ito boats such as the Dragon Boat, as well as the ones that came after such as K&O/Fleet Line, TMY, etc.
The motor unit footprint is 2 15/16" . Add another .75" for the metal rod extending out. It is approximately 1 5/8" across and about 1" tall not including the factory attached bracket. The actual square motor housing is  1 5/8" x 1 3/4". The size is very similar to the K&O 107 large motor.
The mounting bracket sides allow for a 3/8" elevation, with a straight across flat fit. (Check out our other listings for an interesting version with a curved fit). There are six mounting holes--three on each side. Where the K&O versions are nickel chrome, this one has brass plates.
Note this is so early that the motor is still referred to as a "magnet motor" on the label.
If you collect vintage model or toy boats, this is one of those things you have to grab when you see it. The LARGE motor is highly sought after.
CONDITION:
C-7. Tested and works. Cosmetically looks real nice but does have some light rust, oxidation, and rubs. Motor housing looks real good. With bracket attached as pictured.
The BOX shows some shelfwear and has a few rubs, stains and slight discoloration. BOX still has original insert. Original label is on box, but is somewhat frayed.
