    Description
    Here's another listing by
    Lone Star Trains and Collectibles,
Your Classic Era Toy and Train Headquarters!
You're looking at a very interesting item--an early large motor with a curved brass mounting bracket.
This is an original item from the 1940s and perhaps 50s. This
    unmarked
motor is very similar to the TMY #3 (as well as the K&O #107a LARGE electric motor). I think this motor might be an earlier motor for use in brands such as ITO (Dragon Boat or King perhaps). Perhaps it was made by ITO. This is just what you have been looking for to put in that vintage large boat.
The mounting bracket has two holes on each outer on one side and two together centered on the other end.
    Marked JAPAN.
The electric motor unit footprint is 1 7/8" x 1.5" x 7/8".  The spinning rod adds another 1/2". From bracket hole to bracket hole, it is 2 3/8". Most of the unit is a heavy die cast in a unique blue shade.
If you collect vintage model or toy boats, this is one of those things you have to grab when you see it. These larger motors are highly sought after.
    CONDITION:
C-6+. Tested and works.  Feels like heavy. Die cast casting and nickel silver plate and nickel silver mounting bracket. Some edgewear, rubs, paint nicks, and oxidation to the the metal. Silver plate shows oxidation. No box.
