  • Condition: This toy is nice and clean with no soiling or cracks. I checked the battery compartment and there is no corrosion, but the motor is not working at the present time. I'm guessing a loose wire somewhere. The original box is nice and clean with very little soiling but there are some tape residue where it was taped closed.

    Description

    You are looking at a vintage 1961 Texaco gas premium "North Dakota" oil tanker in excellent condition.  It is missing most of the grey mast, radar, etc. on the top and the instruction manual.  It is my understanding that a parent could buy this toy for around .95 with a fill up at gas at a Texaco station.  It has wheels on the bottom and is water tight so with the propeller working it can move in water.  It is 27" long, 4" wide and stands 5-1/2" tall.  This toy was made by Wen-Mac Corp I believe in 1961.
