TP&W Railroad DVD Cab Ride Effner, IN To East Peoria 1983 PLEASE READ

Hello and Thank You for stopping! For sale is on the TP&W Railroad in 1983. All video was taken by my late father and Was recorded on VHS in 1983.
My dad and a few friends from time to time were able to ride in the cabs on the TP&W on pretty much any train they wanted to. This was to help document the final year of the TP&W in 1983. On this program it covers a cab ride from Effner, Indiana to East Peoria.
The TP&W was absorbed into the Santa Fe on December 31, 1983 at 11:59 PM. On a very cold December 31 we boarded the last TP&W local Effner bound for East Peoria. Our power was Santa Fe 3500 and TP&W GP 30 number 700. We would ride the second unit as far as Fairbury where we were invited to the first locomotive. The reason for this is that there was no room in the lead unit until then because of section men writing to clean switches.

Crew members fighting to line switches due to snow and blowing snow.

A van stuck on the tracks ahead of our train. The engineer puts the train into emergency brake application… Will we stop in time?
Plus the usual operations.
As you watch this, keep in mind that the December 1983 was said to have been the coldest December on record for Central Illinois!
A word about this DVD - this Version was made directly from the master so this is a second generation copy. There was no editing so you see everything just as it was shot.
A word of caution about this program there could be language used in this production could be offensive to some people.

Please note that you may have dropouts and possibly a flutter at the top of the screen due to a tracking issue of the VHS tape. These program Master tapes are approaching 40 years old. Please send any questions before bidding. Thank you
