    Description

In these over 50 year old films on a 30-35 year old videotape, this program chronicles the fallen flag railroad in the Midwest, especially through America’s Heartland on both passengers & freight.
In addition to the Diesels from Alcos & EMD E & F Units to Geeps & U-Boats, there are other road names like Union Pacific, a Pere Marquette Tugboat, Southern Pacific, & even a special appearance by Southern 4501 during an excursion in 1973 which was later used in 1994 video: top frog volume 2-best of steam, & the 1997 video: 4501-3 decades of steam, as well as a mention of Jesse James. Historic timetables, maps, & still images are also included.
There are a bunch of great locations on the Rock Island that has since been owned by UP, Metra commuter rail, BNSF, & Iowa Interstate like Greensburg, Butlin, Miniella, Denver, New Lenox, Joliet Junction Depot with the lift bridge on the Des Plaines River, Menuka, Rock Tail, Vaughn, Sayo, Englewood, Davenport, Stuart, Memphis on the Mississippi River Bridge (note the GP7 being referenced to PM 1225 on November 7, 1969-exactally 3 days before Sesame Street made its official debut), the Bridges of Blue Island, Steenes, La Salle Street Station, Centica, & Burrow Junction.
All of these films are recorded by Jerry Carson, & Emery Gulash.
I have 2 copies of this one up for sale:
One being an original case from the transition of 1990 into 1991 that also comes with a map of the fallen flag, & a reissue from 1996 which also comes with some pieces of paper like a coupon/newsletter sign up card, a subscription to trains magazine, & thank you note from a company called corporate media group.
