"The Most Beautiful Train In The World", SP's Coast Daylight, was a favorite of fans and travelers during its heyday in the 1940's. The luxurious, strikingly painted streamliner was conceived in the depths of the depression, and revolutionized rail coach travel. The new trains entered service March 21st, 1937, and were an instant success.
Catenary Video's "COAST DAYLIGHT" captures the beauty of the trains as they traveled from Los Angeles along the scenic route to San Francisco. The Coast Line itself is also featured, with maps, stations, mail trains, freights and local switching. Authentic sound effects bring the brilliant 16mm source films of this legendary streamliner to life -- a feast for the eyes and ears. For those who rode the Daylight, our DVD will evoke nostalgic memories -- for younger fans, a chance to see train riding at its best!

For US shipments we use USPS First Class mail which in spite of all the "snail mail" references is actually pretty reliable and quick. Normally 3-4 days. First Class has a 13 ounce limit which means more than 4 DVD's (or larger box sets) can only go Media Mail or Priority Mail. We usually give you an option at checkout to select the method you want. Please note that Media Mail is extremely slow often taking up to 14 days!
International Shipments are sent USPS Global Air and can take anywhere from 4 days to 12 days
