    Description

In this one of Greg’s earliest titles, the 1948 Lima Ohio built greenbrier type 4-8-4 operates lots of loaded & empty coal trains between Huntington & Hinton West Virginia through the famous new River gorge at locations like the Huntington yard where 614 gets trapped due to the sliding door that’s jammed overnight, plus Charleston, hawk’s nest overlook, Thurmond, & many other locations.
Some of these scenes were later used in America by rail winter wonderland from 1996, reflections from 2002, & surprisingly enough, skyfire video’s steaming up the new River gorge from 1995.
This is in its original original 1985 case that Greg made during his humble beginnings of the railroad video business. There is also a version with an updated case from 1987/1988, but the original editing remains the same. Thankfully, it was not only converted to DVD, but also has more scenes, extended scenes that it doesn’t have on the original editing, & of course the narrative script from the late John Edward hingsbergen, not to mention making this program the final chapter in Greg’s 614 trilogy from 2011 with part 1 from trips in 1980, & part 2 with trips from 1981.
