The 16mm film collection of Joe G Collias, gathered over several years, will take you back to St. Louis and the surrounding area as it was in the 1940s. The rails echoed the pounding of wartime consisst, swollen by the movement of troops or goods. It was time for the best in late steam power, punctuated by older engines, new diesels, and several surprises. Out west, the Southern Pacific was moving freight behind unique and unusual steam. Passengers traveled behind famous Daylights in standard consists. So join us for the trip back to the 1940s when the Glory Machines were in their prime.
