    Description

In this lot, you’ll enjoy a huge variety of early diesels on rock island, New York central, gulf mobile & Ohio, Burlington route, & so much more from F-units to Geeps to U-Boats to Alcos on these historic 8mm films from Mr. Dick Walton in the 1960s & 1970s before, during, & shortly after Amtrak’s debut on the first day of May 1971.
In volume 1 made in 1997, there are various early diesels on the Santa Fe, with some examples that have since been gone for scrap.
In volume 2 which is also released as the same year as the Santa Fe, there are lots & lots of diesels in the greater Chicago area as well as some countless hot spots in the Midwest. At 84 minutes, this is the longest volume in the series.
In volume 3 which is released in 2002, there are countless diesels in the Minnesota twin cities throughout 1970 which includes track work at shoreham after an accident, and later an onboard ride from Saint Paul to Minneapolis & return. It was recorded on a Maxell tape.
And finally in volume 4 made in early 2003, there are diesels in & around St. Louis Missouri along the Mississippi River which includes trailers of other pentrex titles at the end, especially a coming soon teaser for the Union Pacific streamliner collection.
All of these tapes are fully rewounded to the start.
