Pair Of AR 2A Speakers w/ Stands ... Excellent Condition

These vintage AR 2A speakers were professionally serviced recently (Electronics Service Unlimited, Newton, NJ).....the drivers are original ! Crossovers were replaced along with new pots . Overall condition is EXCELLENT especially for a pair of speakers over 50 years old. However the best part about these speakers is that they sound amazing despite being vintage . If you're looking for some loud bass speakers....these are not for you. These are made to be played at medium volume with or without a subwoofer. Cosmetically speaking, the wood cabinets have some light scratches but nothing distracting. The grills are in very good condition and can be upgraded with new grills if one so chooses. (can be purchased on Ebay). Speakers are hooked up and ready to be auditioned (includes the stands). These 8 ohm speakers were made in the good old USA. You really need to hear them to understand why they're still held in such high regard. Each speaker consists of one 10" woofer (cloth surround ), 2 x 5" midrange speakers, and one 1.375 tweeter.  Freq. response is 42 -20k .
