In this lot, you’ll receive 10 videocassettes on the world of railroading.The tapes that you’ll receive in this lot are:
1. California Zephyr (1986 video rails, reissued by pentrex 10 years later in 1996, that not only features the public domain film of one of America’s iconic streamliners in color, but also a 1970 newsreel of the final run of the original California Zephyr at Denver Union Station)
2. Thunder on the rails (1990 skyfire, the short 30 minute version of ghost train from 1988 as it not only features small mainline action on Southern Pacific’s Donner pass, as well as a short visit to the Carson City railroad museum, but also a full day with Nevada Northern 40)
3. World’s greatest train rides: Canada (1996, a reissue of the Great Canadian train ride by Doug Jones in 1993 which also features a side trip to the prairie dog central in Winnipeg Manitoba with 4-4-0 number 3)
4. Canada: the train journey (1994 by world life video, which originally aired as an episode of on top of the world with Anne Martin)
5. Lionel trains ready to run instruction video (2003 by Lionel trains in conjunction with TM books & video, still 100% brand new in the shrink wrap)
6. Trolley: the cars that built our cities (1991 by transit Gloria Mundi, case made by atlas video 1992, a full hour documentary on the past present & future of these streetcars serving in & out of American cities, still 100% brand new in the shrink wrap)
7. Union Pacific 6900s the centennials (1985 video rails, reissue by pentrex 10 years later in 1995 which includes a half hour coverage of 1970s & early 1980s action of these giant diesels, as well as a preview for historic hot spots: railfanning Southern California in the 1950s at the end)
8. Vintage double feature (1999 pentrex, a 40 minute look at 2 vintage films by the Denver & rio grande western, with tons of previews that are featured at the exact end)
9. The great Indian railway (1995 National Geographic video, a nearly 2 hour look at what railroading in South Asia is like day after day)
And 10. North wales-Chester to aberystwyth (1995 acorn media, a nearly hour long look at one of Great Britain’s rail journeys.
All of these tapes (minus 2 that are still sealed) are fully rewounded to the beginning.
