These are
absolutely beautiful hand crafted solid black walnut cabinets.
( By R. Miller ) The wood is from a tree formally on land near Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, in upstate New York. They only have a light coating of oil on them to let the natural grain and character come out. These are constructed to the identical size of the original Large Advents. Original crossovers and  new damping foam is installed. PLEASE look very carefully at all the pictures for their exact condition. These not only sound incredible but are in stunningly handsome solid wood cabinets. The woofers were just professionally re-foamed by " Chasrock Services" right here in Rochester, New York. The high quality surrounds were provided by none other than" Mr. Rick Cobb". The voice coils were aligned to a 30 hz tone. This insures the best possible sound while retaining the original dust caps. The grills were just professionally covered with: Guilford of Maine FR701 2100 # 747 Straw Acoustically transparent material.
These are a one of a kind collector pair of Large Advents.
I still believe that the Large Advents are dollar for dollar the best value in a vintage loud speaker. I have cut and pasted another opinion about the reputation and sound quality of these. Double them up, add power and the magic begins! I always have a set doubled up in my studio and enjoy shocking the audiophile snobs and non-believers. I would have to say that Chasrock Services has sold more Large Advents on eBay than any other user. It is because I really believe in their sound quality and great value. They were also my first pair of " HI-Fi " speakers in the 70's and I still enjoy listening to them. I have cut and pasted another review that shares my same thoughts and opinion.

The Absolute Sound magazine further disrupted high end audio when they published an article about Double Stacking Advents that beat out the sound of several high end speakers costing 10 times as much! What fun audio was back in those golden years."

They put that package through rigorous testing including the following:
Shock Test: (10 random drops from 30 Inches)
Compression Test: The package is then tested in a press at 976.94 lbs. of pressure.
Vibration Test: The package is then put on a vibration table and violently shaken for 45 minutes.
You must pass all three tests without any damage, cosmetically or functionality.
These will be double boxed, surrounded in foam to insure safe undamaged delivery to your home or business. Yes, the shipping cost is a little high, but electronics are fragile and do require a lot of packaging and time to get them done right. I think it's worth a few extra bucks, because they can't be replaced. A
