CSX AT TERRE HAUTE, IN 2010:
CSX - HALEY TOWER- C&EI/CSX CROSSES NYC/CR/CSX ON CROSSOVERS - AFTER DIAMONDS WERE REMOVED AFTER CSX TAKEOVER OF CR.  Haley Tower now serves a Museum- with a train watching area.  Old C&EI Line is on its way to CSX's main line from Chicago to the Southeast, and NYC/CR's double-tracked St. Louis Line or Sanky, has picked up some of the West's Coal Traffic to Power Plants in Southern Indiana and Illinois.  We were hampered by slow orders and trains having to get permission through Work Limits, and then 10 MPH trains on the first day.  Modelers will appreciate getting a good look at the engines and rolling stock.  Also a brief stop at Linden, IN Museum.  Linden was where the Monon crossed the NKP's St. Louis Line. NKP has been torn up, but the Monon is now CSX's line from Crawfordsville, IN to Lafayette, IN, and the route of Amtrak's Cardinaland Hoosier State.  Also a very short look at Frankfort, IN NS/NKP Yard, coaling tower, turntable, and the rapidly deteriorating roundhouse.  Looks as if the backshop roof has fallen in.  On a brighter note, looks as if NS is putting in some new switches in the yard.  When Keith worked for CSX, they brought Locals up to NS on the ex-PRR, which ends just North of the ex-NKP diamond, and then backed into the yards. They also brought Auto Racks up to hand over to NS.  6/2010.  Includes a Printed Train List Itinerary.
