Hello there.In this lot, you’ll enjoy a bunch of great steam locomotives during the 1980s, that was narrated by Rich Melvin. Who also narrated titles from Berkshire productions, machines of iron, & o gauge railroading magazine.
The titles that you’ll receive in this lot are:
1. The Phoenix engine: 614 on the Chesapeake & Ohio (1980, a look at the 1948 Lima Ohio built greenbrier type 4-8-4 in the new River gorge as well as on the Richmond to balcony falls line not to mention clips of reading T-1 2101 from hopewell’s very first program that is unlikely to be converted to DVD: the train to everywhere from 1978. This is the 1998 reissue by machines of iron)
2. Sacramento steam spectacular (1981, April & May coverage of 8444, daylight 4449, & newly restored challenger 3985 from Cheyenne & Portland to the grand opening of the California state railroad museum)
3. Wheeling in the rathole (1982, fall coverage of 765 from Cincinnati to Chattanooga & back, this comes in its original blank Maxell epitaxial T-60 high grade case)
4. Daylight delight (1984, the hopewell version of 4449’s epic journey from Portland to New Orleans & back, like 765 in 1982, this is also released in it’s original blank Maxell epitaxial T-60 high grade case)
5. Life begins at 40 (1985, the hopewell version of 765’s 40th birthday at the 1984 NRHS convention and also the sequel to bridges to Buffalo, this is the 1997 reissue by machines of iron)
6. Ace of black diamonds (1985, the hopewell version of 614 in January of that year through the new River gorge. Like 765 in 1984, it is also a 1997 reissue from machines of iron)
7. Railroads of St. Louis (1989, a 1988 visit to one of Missouri’s major cities which not only features a bunch of diesels, but also the newly restored Frisco 1522 which in the end credits, there is an unexpected outtake as the camera was out of the fireman’s side of 1522’s cab while it hit the bridge)
All of these tapes are fully rewound to the start.
Aside from the hopewell crew, America By Rail creator Greg Scholl was also on the 614, 611, 765, & 1522 trips except for 4449, 3985, & 844/4 in 1981 & 1984.
