Kids love trains of all shapes & sizes, & for the next 100 minutes (50 minutes on 2 tapes each), a visit to Oregon was made as a miniature gauge live steam club called the train mountain museum was at hand during the spring/summer of 1996 & again in August of 2000 that owners of these lovely models of real steam engines (with some diesels & electrics) both standard & narrow gauge are included in action as well as being serviced, plus some onboard angles as well as visiting the shops that also has a working turntable.
The exact beginning of part 2 from 2000 has trailers of various magazines: classic trains, trains, Railfan & railroad (which was owned by Carstens publications until their final issue in June of 2014 which is since been taken over by white River Productions), & narrow gauge gazette.
Also in part 2, there are a couple of models of the real steam engines that operate in excursion service: Union Pacific 844 & Rio grande 476 at the Durango & silverton. There is also a model of the Rio grande southern galloping goose motorcar number 2, as well as a model of Canadian pacific royal Hudson 2860 during the big parade.
This 2 part set has 2 different narrators: Bob carerra for the first part from 1996/1997, & Peter Youngblood for the 2000 trip.
