    Description

Filmed in 1965, this program covers the westbound journey from Chicago to San Francisco on the CB&Q from Chicago to Denver with a ride aboard the dome car & also on the rear of the train, Rio Grande from Denver to Salt Lake City with a cab ride on F-unit 5574 through the Continental Divide over the Summit of the Rockies to Glenwood Springs & transferred to Western Pacific power to end at Oakland. Along the way, there are plenty of trackside scenes with freight that includes the now Preserved F-unit number 5771 on various passenger trains. Before that happens, Filmmaker Emery Goulash takes the New York Central Wolverine from Detroit to Chicago. Later on, Northern 5632 also makes a cameo appearance during an excursion in the 1950s or 1960s.
The Cab Ride through the Colorado Rockies was also used on another Green Frog title: Trains Trains Trains for Kids with KC Frog the puppet.
Nowadays, only Amtrak is in charge of the most Iconic streamlined routes in Western America.
The music throughout the journey is epically awesome.
I also have 2 copies of this one for sale.
