    This is a rare October 19th, 1941 playbill from The New Opera Company production of the GIUSEPPE VERDI opera "MACBETH" at the Forty-Fourth Street Theatre in New York City. (In its first season, The New Opera Company presented four operas in a six-week season. The first performance of "MACBETH" took place on October 24th, 1941 after which there were five additional performances.) .... The opera starred JESS WALTERS in the title role and FLORENCE KIRK as "Lady Macbeth" and featured ROBERT SILVA, ROBERT MARSHALL, JOHN HAMILL, MARTHA LIPTON and LEON LISHCHINER .....
