In Michigan pay a visit to Pere Marquette 2-8-4 #1225 as this huge steam locomotive hauls a passenger special from Cadillac to Owosso. 1225 is BIG, and hustles right along!
Your next stop is eastern Ohio where you'll see Ohio Central's 4-8-4 #6325 pulling a passenger train. Like 1225,#6325 is also a large steam locomotive, and you'll enjoy great steam railroading through the lovely Ohio countryside.
For the last segment, you'll journey to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado & New Mexico and the world famous Cumbres & Toltec .You'll see passenger trains from both Antonito, Colorado and Chama, New Mexico! See the morning train out of Antonito from both on-board and trackside, then follow the train out of Chama as the locomotive works at full throttle to the summit of Cumbres Pass, elevation 10,015 feet! You'll see why railfans visit this preserved steam mountain railroad again and again!
