    This is a rare January 27th, 1942 programme (playbill) from the
    Provincial Tour engagement
    of the annual
    JAMES M. BARRIE classic "PETER PAN" (or "The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up") at the King's Theatre in Glasgow, Scotland. (The annual Christmas event opened December 24th, 1941
    at the Adelphi Theatre in London
    and played a limited four week season before going on the road. The Original West End production opened December 27th, 1904
    at the Duke of York's Theatre in London
    and ran for 145 performances.) ..... The play starred BARBARA MULLEN in the title role, ALASTAIR SIM
    as "Captain James Hook" and ZENA DARE as "Mrs. Darling"

    ..... DETAILS: The four page playbill measures 5" X 8" inches and includes production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and local advertising, but no cast photos or bios ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is considerable edge wear with a number of tears, moderate creasing and the number "72" written in the top right corner of the cover. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
