Description
In this half hour episode of the short lived pbs series based on the direct to video collection from a railroad video company, you’ll enjoy a great variety of diesels during the 1950s 1960s & even the early years of Amtrak in 1971 & later on almost each & every fallen flag road name through the 16mm films of Jerry Carson. Along the way, there is some modern footage of the Strasburg railroad in Lancaster county Pennsylvania with an appearance by Great Western 2-10-0 decapod number 90. On one scene, K4 number 1361 was originally on display at horseshoe curve in Altoona. There is also an interview with the creator of the green frog videos John M. Koch, & scriptwriter Frank Kyper. Just like with every other All Aboard episode by green Frog Productions, the opening & closing scenes are hosted by Howard Goodwin while others like Dan Chandler, Ray Martinez, & Bob Carrera, handle the narration duties. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a case, but at least it’s recorded on a T-30 minute maxell tape.Just like tracks ahead, & great scenic railway journeys, this is one of the many pbs series that deserved more attention.
