Description
All of these films were filmed in the 1960s before railway passenger service changed in America forever. In other words: the debut of Amtrak.Part 1 released somewhere between 1986 & 1989 contains films of diesels & some steam on fallen flags which ran for a full hour. The case for the early 90s reissue looks exactly the same as the other green frog titles: rails Buffalo, the wabash railroad and the reissue of steam in the 50s. On the Pennsylvania/Penn central segment, a visit to horseshoe curve in Altoona was made where during that time until 1985, K4 pacific number 1361 used to be on display there. This copy of volume 1 is a 2000 reissue because of the advert for the official green Frog website seen at the end of the tape.
Part 2 made in 1992, contains more diesels on freight & passenger operations during the switch of the 1960s to the 70s. It ran for only 40 minutes.
